Meet the Houston Spinal Care Team

Leslie Ramirez

LeslieLeslie is a registered dietitian who has been practicing since 1998.  She has experience working with chronically ill patients as well as patients seeking optimal health.  She joined Houston Spinal Care in 2005 where her focus has been on helping people achieve their individual health goals.  She combines her experience helping patients lose weight with Nutrition Response Testing™, a technique of identifying nutritional supplements the individual needs. She motivates and teaches her patients with enthusiasm.

"It is so exciting helping people reach their goals.  We see amazing things especially combining nutrition and chiropractic care."

Jena R. Richardson

JenaJena is our front office CA. When you meet her, one the first things you will notice is her enthusiasm to help others and her attention to detail. She is very passionate about her work. Although her main focus is assisting the patients with scheduling and billing you can find her assisting with exams/ x-rays and with many other things. You name it and she can do it.

"I have been part of the Houston Spinal Care team since December of ‘05" and loved every minute of it. I started without any knowledge of Chiropractic and never would have guessed it was so great. Being here at the office has taught me so much. I have been so inspired by what we do that I am currently taking prerequisite classes required to pursue a degree in chiropractic, and become a doctor of Chiropractic myself.

It brings me great joy to be with Houston Spinal Care and to be able to actually see patients transform and begin to live a healthier, more joyful life, myself and family included. I am very grateful that God has placed me here to be a part of this team."

Kristy Thurman

KristyKristy is our back office CA and X-Ray Tech. When you meet her the first thing you will notice is the friendliness and warmth in her personality that she brings to our staff and our wonderful patients. She is always ready to give a helping hand with anything.

"I can honestly say I’m blessed to be apart of a wonderful team that really is passionate and caring towards their patients. I started without any knowledge of the Chiropractic field. In just my first week, I was taught a whole new light of a career that I will enjoy. With the help of Dr. Rob, Dr. Jason, and the Staff I will enjoy watching the patients on their road to recovery."

Dr. Rob Asks some important questions of interest to Houston residents - Chiropractor Houston Dr. Rob Asks...

Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
